I felt as though no one there were the type of people that would go to bat for you like the previous management did. When I tried to explain that to my hr representative, (who’d never even met me), he refused to let me speak to anyone else and terminated my employment. When I sent HR my resignation, they informed me my suspension was for taking home a set of chipped glasses which were approved by the old management (we were allowed to take them home instead of throwing them away), but apparently the new Mgmt didn’t know about the approval we got previously. My husband had been sick and diagnosed with cancer, so I thought it was time for me to resign.
Then I was suspended one morning and was told HR would reach out to me. It went from being a tight knit family that ran smoothly even on bad days and nights, to absolutely dreading going into work under the new management. The people thy hired to replace everyone had no idea what the hard rock was about and it felt like a sinking ship. Those included were both GM’s, all ops managers, and both head chefs. I was there for almost 2 years when all of a sudden every one of the managers I worked with left within a 6 week period. I was part of the opening crew when the Hard Rock Cafe opened.
